Suncrest Park is a non-profit private park for qualified members and their families. It has 400 yearly memberships and is located at 13534 W. Shore Road in Nine Mile Falls, Washington. It consists of 24 acres of waterfront, 42 acres of greenbelts, and 29 acres of bridle trails.
In 1973, William Main Sr. founded Suncrest on 2000 acres he purchased from a friend (Dr. Roy Pearson) and envisioned a development where families could live on lots large enough for a 'mini-farm'. That is to say they would be able to have a few animals for personal use and enjoyment.

His proposed development not only included paved roads, street lights, underground utilities, and bridle paths; but also a waterfront park (which included a beach known as Rambler's Beach due to an abandoned pink rambler car left there) that had barbeque pits, bath house, tennis courts, boat slips, and restrooms. Built and maintained back then by volunteers, most of the facilities are still in existence.
The park still relies on volunteers during its annual clean-up each spring and greatly appreciates their many and various contributions. It is a result of their efforts that much of the recent improvements to the park have been accomplished for the enjoyment of all its members.
Some of these improvements have included additional playground equipment for the little ones, horseshoe pits and new volleyball equipment for the older ones, and landscaped beds, grass areas, and picnic tables for all to enjoy.
Current Park Board members include Mike Knowles, Julie Billhartz, Larry
Catalano, Marcus Passer, Jill Decker, Don Scribner, and Mike McCasland, all of whom
Our current Park Caretaker, Fred Mashtare, is a local resident whose diligence has greatly reduced vandalism to park property, increased the reliability of the facilities, and the overall enjoyment of the park by its members and their families. His continuous efforts at the park truly make it a great place for members to relax and spend time with their families and are appreciated by all of us.
