Suncrest Park Association Rules

Suncrest Park rules are in place to help all park members enjoy the park and its amenities with their family, friends, and guests.

Important: Memberships, keys, and vehicle decals are non-transferable. Sharing park access may result in immediate membership revocation.

Remember, this is a private community park with your neighbors. Members are responsible for their family, dependents, and guests while using the park.

General Rules

All vehicles entering the park must have a valid decal affixed outside the vehicle and registered to the member. Decals are to be affixed on the outside upper driver side corner of the vehicle’s windshield. Vehicles without a decal will not be admitted.

You are responsible to lock the gate after entering or exiting the park.

A. Park access is open year-round with limited use including playground access, boat launch access, fishing, and relaxing in the park. Please take out any garbage during off-season use. A porta-potty is available year-round by the boat launch area. Main season use is open from May 1 through September 1 and includes bathrooms, garbage pickup, volleyball court, swimming, boat wash, gazebo reservations, BBQs, and other amenities.
B. The law prohibits minors from being served or drinking alcoholic beverages in the park.
C. The park closes at 10:00 PM, excluding the boat launch, unless otherwise approved.
D. Children under the age of 13 are not allowed in the park without adult supervision of a member.
E. Weapons used for hunting purposes only must be secured and unloaded inside your vehicle or boat while on park premises. All other weapons are not allowed on park property.
F. No fireworks.
G. Members are responsible for their guests. Members and guests are to behave in an acceptable manner. Abuse, negligent behavior, or offensive language will not be tolerated. This can and has resulted in membership revocation and/or permanent ban from membership. Your guest is an extension of you.
H. No overnight camping.
I. Absolutely NO HUNTING on park property.
J. No tobacco or E-cigarette use in the beach area, playground area, or within 25 feet of the bathroom area.
K. Be respectful of the gate monitors. They are there to make sure that only members and guests of members are allowed into the park.
L. No pets are allowed inside the park, except when loading or unloading at the boat ramp. Pets must be leashed at all times during loading or unloading.

Parking

Vehicles parked inside the park without a current member decal will be towed at owner's expense.

A. There is a firm 5 MPH speed limit. Park in designated areas. Please do not park on the grass.
B. Water recreational trailers only in the lot between the gate and boat launch area.
C. Only vehicles properly licensed are allowed in the park.

Boat Launch and Docks

A. Members, dependents, and guests utilize the docks, ramps, and launch at their own risk. Please be courteous. We are all here to enjoy the park.
B. No swimming, diving, or water skiing from the docks or launch area.
C. Boat slips are fee reserved only.
D. Boats are docked at owner's risk.
E. No loading/unloading or boat parking at the fishing dock.
F. There is a boat loading/unloading dock next to the main boat launch area. Please use this for picking up or dropping off.

Swim Area and Beach

A. All members, dependents, and guests swim at their own risk. No lifeguard on duty.
B. All swimming is confined to the roped-off swim area. Only enter or exit the swim area from the sandy beach. No swimming into or out of the swim area to or from a boat, kayak, jet ski, or other vessel.
C. No boats or jet skis in the swim area, beach, or within 150 feet of the swim area.
D. The swim platform is for all to enjoy. Bad behavior or vandalism will not be tolerated.
E. The beach area closes at dusk.
F. No kayaks or paddle boards are allowed in the swim area. This is a safety and liability issue for swimmers.
G. No loud music or vulgar music is allowed at the beach or in the park. Please be respectful of others.

Picnic Area

A. Fires must be contained to the barbeque pits only and extinguished properly.
B. Picnic areas are on a first-come, first-served basis. Gazebos can be reserved with a $100 refundable cleaning fee.
C. Please pick up your litter and wash the tables if needed. Please remove BBQ briquettes after use and place them into the metal cans provided by the BBQs. Do not put briquettes in trash cans.
D. There is a two-week minimum advance notice for booking a party. No reservations on major holidays. The park calendar is available online for scheduling gazebos.

Guests

A. A member must remain at the park while the guest is visiting the park. Guest vehicles are not allowed inside the park.
B. A member is responsible for their guests’ actions. Members can lose their membership due to guest poor behavior or destruction of park property or facilities.
C. A member anticipating more than 10 guests must contact the Board of Directors two weeks prior to the function. No parties or functions on major holidays.
D. Special consideration is given to churches, schools, or civic groups.

Misuse of the Park

A. Any misuse of the park may result in fines and revocation/forfeiture of both the membership and the membership fee. A member may be held financially responsible.
B. Memberships are not to be used collectively. Do not loan, share, sell, or give keys/stickers to friends or guests to use for any reason. Sharing decals or keys is theft of park services and will result in immediate membership revocation and permanent ban from Suncrest Park Association membership. No refunds will be issued for revocation.
C. Falsifying any portion of the park application is cause for revocation even after being accepted to the park. No refunds will be issued.
D. Misuse is considered failure to observe rules, regulations, and by-laws of the park or any act of theft, destruction, or vandalism of park facilities or property by member, dependent, or guest.
E. Any type of verbal abuse to other members, caretaker, gate tenders, or board members may result in membership revocation. This is a family park, so let’s treat each other with respect and kindness. We are here to enjoy the park with our family, neighbors, and friends.
